Ant-Man Movie Is Bigger Than Expected

This past weekend we had a chance to see the newest Marvel release, the Ant-Man movie, which was bigger than expected.

Before we go any further, it is safe to know we will not give out any spoilers.

The movie was a step back from the most recent Marvel creations like the Avengers or Captain America Winter Solider. Instead the Ant-Man movie reminded us of the first Iron Man movie where we had a chance to spend part of the movie on the origin of the hero then the second half involves taking on a bad guy.

When it comes to the casting for the movie, we do love the choices they made. Each one was solid all around and Michael Pena did an excellent job of stealing the screen.

The movie had it’s share of action and comedic scenes and did an excellent job balancing them. The fight scene at the end of the movie was as good as they come. Some people continue to harp on what could have been with Edgar Wright but that is beating a dead horse.

Most people know by now one Avenger, Falcon, does make an appearance in the movie and it was well received.

Another bright spot was the mid-credit and post-credit scenes. The two shown are some of the better ones since we first caught a glimpse of Thanos.

Our one complaint about the movie is we wanted to see more of Ant-Man going up against Yellow Jacket. We know it is not feasible but we could still dream.

If you have a chance to see the new Marvel Ant-Man movie, let us know what you thought of it.
