There is going to be some competition for the Skylanders series, especially the upcoming Skylanders Swap Force. Disney will be releasing their video game, Infinity, that will feature a similar portal-type where you place your favorite Disney Infinity figures on it to bring them into the game.
It is hard to tell how the game play will translate but Disney does have an edge when it comes to popular character. Power Boy was already excited to see Perry the Platypus in the game. We think it may have a good chance of taking on the Skylanders series.
