Funko comes to the mobile world.
N3twork released the mobile game Funko Pop Blitz earlier this month and we were curious to see if it was worth time spent.
We decided to step away from sims games, like Hell Park, to give this one a whirl.
In the game, each Funko Pop! character will come with their own unique Super move, to blast the board and power up, earning rewards. These Super moves celebrate an iconic moment that is sure to bring back nostalgic feelings. You use these to advance past levels and to increase your collection.
Early on we found it was a decent time sink and kept out attention. We do like the selection of character choices, specifically the Universal Monsters. Yes, even if it wasn’t Halloween. The graphics are enough to make the figures appealing.
Things changed with a recent update. The biggest problem we see is in the recent update where it feels no matter how much time is spent trying to get the event characters, there is not enough time. That is unless you want to spend a little bit of cash to help things along.
We are all for reasonable micro transactions in mobile games, but companies need to learn when they need to stop
While we do enjoy puzzle games, there has to be something truly special about them to keep our attention. This one did not have it.
It is a hard pass for us, but if you want to give it a try, you can find it in your app store.
