If we had to describe our Game of the Month: Besiege in four words, we would choose, Medieval LEGOs of Destruction, for the video game.
We discovered the game, Besiege, while searching through the countless titles on Steam. One of our accounts had a few extra bucks so we decided to pick it up.
At first we had our doubts because the game is in Early Release which means it is far from done and it could go through some major changes. But by the end, it was the best game we played in 2015.
We have played the game for a bit and made our share of Medieval weaponry that would make King Arthur proud and thought it was time to share with you what we thought of it.
Positives
- If you are a fan of vehicle creators, this will be right up your alley. They have all sorts of items to help your creation move and create destruction.
- Another part we love is the Workshop. This allows you to play around with other people’s creations.
Negatives
- The game has limited missions for you to participate in and it does little to change up the tempo. While we think this would change when the game releases, one can never tell.
- For the most part, the game mechanics/graphics are smooth but when you get to the larger builds, things tend to bog down.
Here are a few screen shots from the game.
Overall
We were pleasantly surprised with this game. There is a lot of playability thanks to you can create whatever your mind can come up with and if they expand on the missions, it should open up to even more. We would love to see PvP in this game as well.
We are looking forward to the final release of the game to see how the finished product runs. Right now you can pick up the game on sale for $5.35 which is a bargain or you can pony up the $7.99.
