What can be better than getting something cool, like a Captain America or Iron Man piggy bank while helping folks who are fighting cancer.
Not much. That is why we wanted to endorse the good folks at Help for Heroes who will be at the Motor City Comic Convention in May.
The following is taken straight from the Help for Heroes Facebook page.
The Help for Heroes Organization is a group of comic professionals that are out to help their fellow comic professionals who are fighting cancer.
It was started in a partnership with HERO Initiative to raise money for Columbus, Ohio artist Josh Medors as he struggled in his fight against a rare form of spinal cancer. On November 28, 2012 we lost our founding leader Josh when the cancer took over his body even though he was still fighting hard. In his honor we will continue the Help for Heroes organization in the hopes of becoming a non-profit in 2013 and raising enough funds to have on hand for those who may need our help in the future.
Power Boy is partial to the Iron Man Piggy bank while I love the Spiderman Piggy Bank. With a price of $15 each, we may pick up both of them when we visit.
If you are going to stop by the comic con, you must stop by the table and see what they have out. You can even contact them through Facebook and have them ship it directly to your house. We are looking forward to seeing them in May and will be picking up one or two piggy banks.
