Power Boy and Legendary Dad not only had a blast at the Motor City Comic Convention last year but we came away with one of our new favorite board games, Heroscape: Marvel.
In this game, you can either lead the Hero side, consisting of Captain America, Spiderman, Hulk, Silver Surfer, and Iron Man or the Villain side, made up of Doctor Doom, Venom, Abomination, Thanos, and Red Skull.
How can you go wrong with this? On top of that, we have a creating different battlegrounds each time we play. It reminds me a cross between a Risk and a game of Chess.
The only thing holding this game back is the inability to have more heroes and villains to play. It would have been greater if they made an expansion pack with a few more characters.
Overall, if you are looking to try something new, you should give this game a whirl. We were able to get a great deal for the new game at $20 at the Comic convention but you can find this online in the $30-$35 price range.
