LEGO Ideas: DC Heroes / Villains Chess Set

DC Heroes / Villains Chess Set

This LEGO Ideas project is a new twist on a classic game to bring in a new generation of fans.

The LEGO Ideas project, DC Heroes / Villains Chess set, was created by jacobcml who does an amazing job of upgrading the game with DC flair.

We have covered previous LEGO Ideas games, like the Dungeon Master, but have not come across one like this chess set.

The board is set up so each corner is dedicated to a major city in the DC universe: Gotham, Metropolis, Paradise Island & Atlantis. If you take a closer look at them, you will seem some unique details for them.

The large heroes are matched up to their appropriate villain. The pawns are a random collection of sub-heroes & villains but you will be allowed to match them up with unique counterparts.

The unique part off this game is you will be able to see what character can take out another. There is another set of rules that apply to the super-fans of the comic. For example, each character has a special move that can be performed once within the time of a game. Joker can take out a character next to him by detonating. Grodd can make a hero move with his telepathy. Martian Manhunter can move through a piece & so on.

The DC Heroes / Villains Chess Set will include the following LEGO mini-figs.

Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Aquaman, Green Lantern, Flash, Martian Manhunter, Hawkman, Green Arrow, Bat Girl, Robin, & Nightwing.

Lex Luthor, Darkseid, Joker, Zod, Gorilla Grood, Captain Cold, Cheetah, Black Manta, Bane, Deathstroke, Penguin, Harley Quinn, Sinestro, & Posion Ivy.

Here are some more images of the Chess set.

Overall we love the concept behind this project. Not only will it bring in DC fans, but LEGO fans as well. At the time of this writing, the project has 317 supporters with 113 days left.
