The world of LEGO and Futurama collide with this interesting LEGO Ideas project.

Creator Nicola Stocchi created the Planet Express Delivery Ship for LEGO Ideas and at first glance has a lot of potential with it.

The model designer took one of the more iconic items from the popular animated series, Futurama, and gave it life with this creation.

The LEGO Ideas project will contain the following pieces, will contain 2,938 pieces.

  • Ship
  • Platform
  • Launchpad = Platform

Some of the more interesting aspects of the project are the following.

  • The top turret opens to fit a Minifigure and rotates 360 degrees.
  • The rear landing gears and the frontal stairway are detachable.
  • The rooftop and the top fin are easily removable to access the interiors.

Hands down, this is an impressive creation. Not only did they create a solid replica, they managed to do it while keeping the natural shape of the ship.

The layout on the inside works and would allow you to utilize when you have it display or in use.

The only thing we see on the downside for this project is the lack of mini-figures.

Luckily, this is something that can easily be rectified down the road.

In the end, this is a LEGO Ideas set we would be interested in and would consider purchasing.
