Disney may not be where they are today without Mickey Mouse and this LEGO Ideas set is the best way to celebrate him.
LEGO Ideas user szabomate90 wanted to share their love for Disney and decided to create the Steamboat Willie set as an homage to the 1928 short.
Before Mickey Mouse became the Icon, he was started on this path the first Disney distributed cartoon to feature synchronized character sound and musical score.
The Steamboat Willie project will include 156 pieces and will consist of the following.
- Steamboat
- A mini-figure of Mickey Mouse in a simple black and white color palette.
While the set is small, there seems to be a good variety of what can be done with it.
It seems simple enough where younger kids would be able to play with it. For the older crowd, this set seems like the ideal display piece to put on a shelf or your desk.
