LEGO Ideas: The Castle in the Forest

The Castle in the Forest

Who doesn’t love castles?

Creator poVoq created the LEGO Ideas the Castle in the Forest and we have to say it was almost love at first sight.

In case you didn’t know, we like castles. Whether they are Steampunk castles or Greyskull, we do love building them in the LEGO world. This is why we had to check this one out.

The set will have roughly over 2,000 pieces to help create the two story castle. A unique feature for this set is there side of the castle is hinged, allowing you to open it to interact with it.

Also there is a hatch on the first floor, an escape passage trough the fireplace, a door that can be lifted up with a chain, a secret passage to get inside the tree, a secret hiding place for a treasure chest.

It will also include five mini-figures, a horse, and squirrels.

Here are a few images for the The Castle in the Forest LEGO Ideas project.

Overall, we love the feel of this project. The creator did  a solid job creating a set that creates an aura around it.

The one aspect that stood out to us is the play ability of it. There are two floors that give you enough room to set up your character. Not to mention the hidden alcoves.

The only thing we would like to see is maybe more of a variety with the mini-figures. I mean what is a castle without a king.

Overall, this is a set that could be used with similar ones you own or even on it’s own.
