LEGO Movie 2: Some Changes But Not Enough

Lego Movie 2

Everything is not always awesome and that is okay.

Emmet and the gang return in the LEGO Movie 2 and this is one of those times when we can say a sequel was warranted.

We were big fans of the first LEGO Movie and were excited once we heard there was going to be a sequel.

We added this to our must see movies of 2019 and thoroughly glad it came out sooner than later.

This sequel followed Emmet and his friends as they take on the Duplos and what chaos they bring with them. On to our review of the LEGO Movie 2.

There were several things we liked how they continued the store with our favorite LEGO figures.

They were smart to shift the balance behind the scenes between the brother and sister. This is something most people can relate to growing up with siblings.

The addition of new characters was welcome as it added some flare to the returning ones

There were a few things that we didn’t like as much.

For starters, the amount of time they used to have the LEGO figures actual move in real life. Some of the scenes were okay, but it felt dragged out at times.

Also, we are not sure why Will Ferrel was included in this movie. He only offered a few lines and did not even appear on camera. It was distraction when Maya Rudolph was trying to carry a scene.

In the end, the movie is still worth seeing, on the big screen or at home. We dare say it is worth watching more than once
