Today is the day to celebrate a film franchise that has gone beyond defining a generation.
It is hard to believe the epic space opera first released forty years ago and it the franchise as a whole is going strong. Sure it has had ups and down but it is stronger than ever.
You can say we are a fan of the franchise and everything it has created. From amazing LEGO Ideas to movie spin-offs. There is something about the characters and the world they live in that keeps drawing us back.
Has it become over commercialized? Possibly when you consider some companies have been trying to market new toys or other related items around this day.
But in the end, it does not matter what everyone else does or say. Rather what you take out of it.
