The two titans will be squaring off soon enough but enjoy what Mezco has created.
The Mezco King Kong of Skull Island was created to pay homage to the beast and at first glance they knocked it out of the park.
Mezco has done a bang up job when it has come to other characters, like Hulk from Thor Ragnarok. This gave us high hope for this release.
The Mezco King Kong of Skull Island will feature the following.
- Stands seven inches tall and will have 28 points of articulation
- Two interchangeable head portraits
- Five interchangeable hands including a holding hand for figurine accessory
- One set of shackles with real chains
- One scaled Ann Darrow figurine
We area huge fan of what they did with their King Kong. They did a great job of capturing the animalistic side of Kong.
The addition of the shackles makes it appear even more aggressive which could be useful in setting your displays.
The only downside we saw was maybe to add a battle worn head sculpt. It would have been perfect to pair it up with Godzilla or other Kaiju.
