We have seen some recent images from DC Comics reimaginings Hanna Barbera classic characters and for right now, our feelings are mixed.
We always like to see DC or Marvel move in a new direction with some familiar faces from our past. So we would excited to here when some of our favorites from Hanna Barbera are coming back in a new way.
Scooby Apocalypse is going to thrust Mystery Inc into the future where they will encounter mutated creatures infected by a nanite virus.
Future Quest will center around Johnny Quest and a cadre of heroes like Space Ghost, the Herculoids, and Birdman to name a few.
The Flintstones will receive a new perspective on the modern stone age family
We like the artwork for Future Quest but don’t think the Flintstones is going to draw us in. Scooby Apocalypse has some potential but it depends how far this push this futuristic edge.
One good thing is right now, DC Comics reimaginings Hanna Barbera is set for the comic universe. We would be more disappointed if they were going to bring this to the cartoon world.
When these new issues hit the shelves, we can be sure to pick up one or two of them to get a taste of the newest editions to DC Comics. After that, who knows.
