This past week, Nintendo announced they will release 2 New 3DS Systems this Fall for consumers, just in time for the holiday season. In the Spring of 2015, Nintendo released an upgraded Nintendo 3DS which flew off the shelves.
On September 25th, Nintendo plans to release a new 3DS systems bundle, which will include.the 3DS, the upcoming Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer Game, two cover plates and one Amiibo card. The suggested retail price will be $219.99.
Not to be outdone, Gamestop is going to release their exclusive Hyrule Edition 3DS XL system. The system will be available on October 30th with a suggested retail of $199.00. The system will be gold-colored and will have a detail Hylian Crest on the front.
This release will coincide with the release of The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes, which will be out on October 23rd.
Even though Nintendo has sold over 15 million systems from the 3DS family in the US alone, it appears they are not satisfied with that. While there are certain ones who may be enticed to purchase the new systems, is it feasible to release additional systems when the major difference is cosmetic?
We are curious, if you are you going to consider one of the 2 New 3DS Systems or pass on them?
