RAW and Smackdown showcase their talent this weekend in one of the more popular PPV events the WWE has each year.
The briefcases will be the focus of this WWE event but there is more than just that with our 2018 Money in the Bank Predictions.
The Blue brand has earned the nod with the talent since the shift, but RAW is not a slouch. This PPV has a chance to be special, even more so than Wrestlemania if done right.
As always, we are by no means experts, just love trying to figure out what they have for the 2018 Money in the Bank.
Daniel Bryan vs Big Cass – We like the direction they have been going and it would make more sense to have Cass earn the win. Let’s see if they can keep it up.
Seth Rollins vs Elias (Intercontinental Championship) – Both of these guys have been on par with their recent performances, it is a shame one of them has to lose. Rollins has been acting like a true champion on RAW and there is no reason to think it will change.
Sami Zayn vs Bobby Lashley – The feud caught us off guard but it has been more entertaining lately than some others (see below). This should be the finale with Lashley taking care of business.
The Bludgeon Brothers vs The Good Brothers (Smackdown Tag Team Championship) – This match came out of left field so do not expect anything major from it. The Bludgeon Brothers will retain.
Roman Reigns vs Jinder Mahal – Maybe they have him paired up with Mahal to get some more love for Roman. We don’t see that happening no matter what happens. Roman will win.
Carmella vs Asuka (Smackdown Women’s Championship) – Of all the matches, this one seems the easiest to pick. Asuka should have the title when it is done, unless Carmella gets a DQ.
Nia Jaz vs Rhonda Rousey (RAW Women’s Championship) – Rousey was impressive at Wrestlemania, but there is no way she is going to end up with the belt at the end of the night. Is there?
Last Man Standing – A.J. Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (WWE Championship) – The fourth time is the charm right? We think the creative team has little idea what they want to do with this. That is part of the reason we see the Blue brand winning the briefcase. More on that later.
Women’s Money in the Bank Match – Four competitors from each show will have a chance to win the coveted briefcase. There are some weird choices here and while we would not mind seeing a newcomer earn it, the best bet is for the Boss to get the briefcase and unleash her heel.
Men’s Money in the Bank Match – Though there are eight competitors featured, we know the majority of them do not stand a snowball’s chance. If we had to choose, the two names we would focus on is the Miz and Braun Strowman. The man with the hands has been on a tear but since we don’t think Lesnar is going to lose his title anytime soon, we see the minds opting to give the Miz a chance.
