Super hero movies may dominate the theaters this year, but there are plenty of other genre options available to movie goers.
Our list for the most anticipated movies of 2017 is a long one that is filled with sequels, revised visions, and new stories.
The thing is, there are a lot of movies we are looking forward to this year. Some of the movies are perfect for all of us, while there are a few JG13 Gamer is going to steer clear of for now.
We will be sure to share our thoughts on this movies and let you know what we think of them.
Here are our most anticipated movies of 2017.
LEGO: The Batman Movie (2/10/17) Let’s face it, Batman was one of the stars of the first LEGO movie, so this one makes sense. We have higher hopes for this one than Batman vs. Superman.
Logan (3/3/17) The success of Deadpool helped move this movie forward into a more fitting yet violent atmosphere. This might end up being the first Rated R movie JG13 Gamer gets to see.
Kong Skull Island (3/10/17) This movie was a given just based seeing King Kong in his natural habitat. But with our love of Godzilla, there is no denying we can not wait to see how this does on the big screen.
Power Rangers (3/24/17) We are hoping this movie turns out to be better than the last time the Power Rangers made it to the big screen.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 (5/5/17) One of the best movies in Marvel’s lineup comes back for a second go around. The entertaining group will show they have what it takes to protect the universe.
Alien: Covenant (5/19/17) Ridley Scott looks to bring the sheer creepiness of Aliens back to the big screen with the follow-up to Prometheus.
Wonder Woman (6/2/17) The DC movies have been a hit or miss but we have high hopes for this one. Perhaps it will have the same success as the first Captain America period piece.
Cars 3 (6/16/17) The newest teaser trailer is enough to get us hooked. We are curious to see what happens to McQueen and how the story progresses.
Despicable Me 3 (6/30/16) Two words for you, Balthazar Bratt, cause he is Bad. If you need further reasoning, make sure to check out the first trailer.
Spider-man: Homecoming (7/7/16) Spider-man is finally under the guidance of Marvel and fans could not be more happy. A dash of Iron Man is going to make this the top money maker this Summer.
It (9/8/17) The first truly creepy clown is back in this re-imagined movie based on Stephen King’s story. Hopefully it will live up to it’s potential.
Friday the 13th (10/13/17) There is no better way to celebrate Friday the 13th with a reboot of the legendary slasher, Jason. Good or bad, this is a movie that will be a must see.
Thor:Ragnarok (11/3/17) The previous Thor movies have been meh at best but this one has some potential. Thanks to Hulk and Dr. Strange making their appearances felt.
Justice League (11/17/17) Either this one is going to live up to expectations or it will fail. We are hoping Snyder learned from his previous mistakes.
Star Wars Episode VIII (12/15/17) Episode VII did bring more hope back to the franchise and there is no reason to think this one will be any different.
