This looks like a wild update.
The newest update, Sea of Thieves A Pirate’s Life, brought to us by Rare with help from Disney gives us hope.
Sea of Thieves has been lacking with some major news and that changed today. The new update is going to contain some of the following;
- 5 new Tall Tales
- Team-up Jack Sparrow
- New areas
- New tools
- New enemies like Sirens, Phantoms, and Ocean Crawlers
Overall like the new direction they took.
As for the new enemies, we are curious to see how they play out, especially when it comes to the Ocean Crawlers. We caught an image of one popping up through the ground with an electric whip. Then tere was the clam looking one.
This should be a good change of pace for a game that has struggled to give us new foes.
Though they never mentioned it, it appears we might have some new customizations. Like the Undead Unicorn figurehead on the Dutchmen that is taking on Davy Jones.
Some of the details for the update are a bit muddy.
We are not sure if the new areas are exclusive to Tall Tales or in the base world. We are hoping for the later so we have new content.
One exception might be the town they visit. We are looking forward to the Sea of the Damned and underwater expansion.
The update will kick off on June 22nd so get those blades ready.
