The new Star Wars Commander mobile game is here and we felt it was necessary to report it is less than stellar. To be honest we had not heard much about this game until ads started popping up the other day.
The game is free to play and can be found on the either the IPhone or Droid.
Star Wars Commander Pros
The typical resource building game mixed in with NPC or PVP combat. If you are a fan of the Clash of Clans gameplay, this one is right up your alley.
They did give some twists thanks to being from the Star Wars universe and makes it feel slightly different. We like how you can choose a side, Rebels or the Empire, but from what we have seen, the Rebels own their opponents.
Another positive is for the game is the addition of the characters from the Star Wars Universe and it goes beyond simple dialogue. It is fun running into battle with Han Solo or Chewie.
Star Wars Commander Cons
One of the biggest annoyances with the game is the notifications. There is no option in turning these off like with other mobile games. Sure they asked in game to rate the game but nothing about to turn off these small annoyances.
Another downside we have been experiencing is game instability. After playing for a few days, the game has had issues loading and has been crashing on a regular basis. Most times I can not even get it past the loading screen. From the reviews, I am not the only one.
If they can fix the two issues we have with the game, this is a solid game to kill some of your free time.
