Over the years, we have seen the best and the worst of the Dark Knight but the LEGO versions gives us a new look at the hero.
After the LEGO movie surprised us a few years back, we had high hopes for the LEGO Batman movie and it did not disappoint.
This was a welcome change for recent DC movies where they were a mixed bag in 2016.
Will Arnett and the writers steal the show a Batman. He does an amazing job at delivering the perfect lines created for him.
Batgirl aka Barbara Gordon, voiced by Rosario Dawson, was a pleasant surprise and excelled with her character.
Another thing we loved about the movie is how the director catered to the casual or die-hard Batman fan.
There were a plethora of Easter Eggs throughout the movie. Our favorite one was the Shark Repellent Spray or the nod to Suicide Squad.
Everything wasn’t perfect with the movie. Sure they did a good job with the swerve they gave for the villains, but we would have love to see more focus on the Rogues gallery of the Dark Knight.
Overall, we definitely recommend seeing this movie, whether you are a LEGO or Batman fan.
However it is okay to wait until it comes out on DVD since seeing not seeing it on the big screen will not make a major difference.
