MK 11 is in the books, what’s next for NRS?
The word on the street is we should expect to see a NRS Marvel Fighting game in the same vein as Injustice.
For starters, we think this is the perfect company to take on a project and it is something some fans would enjoy seeing. Sure some prefer the Capcom style of Marvel gaming, but there are those who would love to see a Spider-man Fatality.
Here are some of the rumors floating about
It will be loosely based on the World War Hulk storyline and will feature gameplay similar to that seen in Injustice. Many of the characters have been redesigned and reimagined for the game, while many iconic movie costumes will be added over time as DLC.
The character list for the game includes, “Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Wolverine, Black Panther, Spider-Man, Groot and Rocket (duo character), Blade, Gamora, Moon Knight, Ghost Rider, Gambit, Shang-Chi, Kitty Pryde, Invisible Woman, Mr Fantastic, Hulk, Skaar, Doctor Octopus, Blob, Mojo, Bullseye, Mephisto, Daken, Arnim Zola, Venom, Abomination, Deacon Frost (and) Madam Masque.”
Also Deadpool will be offered as a pre-order bonus. The first DLC pack will reportedly include Daredevil, Cyclops, Raiden and Kylo Ren (of the Star Wars franchise).
Honestly we do like the direction the roster is taking. It is drawing some from the Avengers but also dipping into other areas of Marvel’s properties. There is a lot of potential here with some of the lesser characters.
Kitty Pryde, the Blob, and Venom are characters that stick out to us.
The SL seems interesting as well. It is something which will probably not be explored in the MCU, but also fits into the fighting game genre.
The only gripe we would have now would the inclusion of some of the MK character but think that is part of their deal.
