Super Smash Bros Ultimate fans got some big news this week but it did raise more questions.
Despite the excitement around the news of a Super Smash Bros Ultimate Fighter Pack 2, it made us wonder which characters would be released.
Before this news, we had concerns how much more shelf life Super Smash Bros Ultimate would have. That question was answered. We decided to take a look at which franchises had the most characters in the game, Here are the top five franchises.

- Pokemon 7
- Fire Emblem 7
- Zelda 6
- Metroid 4
The rest of the characters are broken down into small franchises where there is three characters or less.
In the end, we would like to see some of the other franchises get the love in the Super Smash Bros Ultimate Fighter Pack 2.
Donkey Kong – There are a few we think they could add. Maybe Dixie Kong or it could be interesting to see Cranky Kong.
Metroid – This one was a bit tougher, but we would be intrigue if they could bring in Mother Brains or even Sylux into the fold.
Kirby – The first one that came to mind was Bandana Waddle Dee. He could be an intriguing character and the use of the spear might be the perfect add.
There are some other characters outside of the main franchises but wanted to focus on these three.
We will say that we are glad to see Fighter Pack 2 will last through December 2021. This is going to go a long way to make sure the game has life.
