Who has the better villains: Spider-man or Batman?

Spider-man or Batman

The villains are what helps push the heroes to a special place in our hearts.

When it comes down to it, we wanted to decide which one has a better set of villains, Spider-man or Batman.

Let’s face it, if either of these heroes did not have their respective solid list of villains to fight against, they would be less appealing. Perhaps we would have never seen them so much in comics or movies.

Good thing for is, they do.

Spider-man Villains

Marvel has done a solid job over the years to make sure multiple villains get to take the lead role in Spider-man’s life. Whether it was Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, or the various symbiotes, Spider-man has been kept busy.. Then there are the multiple iterations of the Sinister Six.

Not only do a variety of villains get their time center stage, they have impactful roles in the stories. Two of the more notable stories involve Kraven the Hunter and Doctor Octopus. Each one takes fans on a ride they will never forget.

The one knock we have seen on a few of the villains is how they translate to the big screen. We are looking at you Electro. But with Marvel back at the helm instead of Sony, we have seen the Vulture and Mysterio show the casual fan a different view.

Batman’s Villains

There is no doubt the Caped Crusader has the most iconic villain out there, the Joker. The problem is, sometimes it feels he has been over used to the point where he overshadows the rest. We think they took a step in the right direction with the recent Joker movie where we got to see the Clown Prince take the lead role with no Bats.

Some of the lesser villains, like Two-Face and Scarecrow, have had their time to shine. But there are others, like Clayface. We think a story centered around this lesser villain would do a lot for Batman.

Another one would be a continuation of the Court of Owls. There was some promise during the first run, but we think it is time to bring them back for some more.

In the end, we have to give the slight edge to Spider-man’s villains. There is a chance for Batman’s group to over take them, if the folks at DC and Warner Bros can find a way to make some of the others stick out more to keep the focus off Joker.

Let us know which one you think has the better set of villains; Spider-man or Batman.
