The Universal Championship is on the line as the march towards Wrestlemania continues.
The RAW specific PPV event takes places this Sunday, making this the perfect time to share our Fastlane 2017 Predictions.
We saw several of the RAW storylines take shape during the Royal Rumble and should seem additional headway before the upcoming Wrestlemania.
Like always, we are by no means experts on wrestling, but we love trying to figure out what they are cooking up.
Rich Swann & Akria Tozawa vs. The Brian Kendrick & Noam Dar
This kickoff match for Fastlane has some unique potential to it. We have seen some decent matches between the individual pairings and we know the ring is not going to be able to contain them. Kendrick & Dar should come out on top by the time the match is over.
Sami Zayn vs. Samoa Joe
Zayn and Joe had some great matches when they were in NXT so we are curious to see how it turns out. While Zayn has shown he can handle the biggest bruisers, we do not see Joe losing a match anytime soon.
Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax
Some believe they are pushing to have a Four Way match for the title at Wrestlemania. If that is the plan, then we are torn on who is going to come out on top. A loss is not going to help anyone’s position. Perhaps there is a double count out?
Charlotte vs. Bayley Woman’s Championship
The queen is looking to get back her title from Bayley and has her 16-0 PPV win record on the line. We would love to see Bayley’s reign as champ continue but we think the WWE creative have something in mind for Wrestlemania.
Neville vs. Jack Gallagher Cruiserweight Championship
The self-proclaimed king of the cruiserweight division has his title on the line against the gentleman. While we love seeing Gallagher in action, we do not see Neville losing his belt any time soon.
Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman
The Big Dog wants a chance for revenge and Strowman just wants real competition. We are curious to see the direct WWE creative is going to go with this one. Eventually we think Reigns will get his push towards a bigger Wrestlemania event.
Kevin Owens vs. Goldberg Universal Championship
The friendships with Chris Jericho is over for Owens which is not a good thing since he will be taking on Goldberg during Fastlane. We are thinking Jericho may interfere during the match to further their storyline. Even if he doesn’t, there is no way Goldberg is leaving the event without the title.
